“A hit…thoroughly original, comic dialogue.” – New York Times

One night only! – The National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene is proud to present the world premiere of a staged reading of Paddy Chayefsky’s THE TENTH MAN, a critically-acclaimed 1959 Tony Award-nominated play.

Adapted – for the first time – into Yiddish with accompanying English supertitles.

Directed by Tony-nominated Eleanor Reissa with an all-star cast that includes Robert Abelson*, Rachel Botchan*, Motl Didner, Itzy Firestone*, Sean Fletcher*, Stephen Mo Hanan*, Avram Mlotek, Eli Rosen, Doug Shapiro*, Steve Sterner*, Suzanne Toren*, Hy Wolfe*.

Having originally played for 623 performances, on Broadway, this three-time Tony Award nominated play, is a comedic tour-de-force set among a minyan of older men in suburban Long Island and a young woman who may or may not be possessed by a Dybbuk. The play explores Jewish values, modernity and love.
