Pearls of Yiddish Song invites you to learn about a treasure trove of Yiddish song from NYTF’s Artistic Director and Yiddish music expert, Zalmen Mlotek.
In this series, Zalmen shares the songs that shaped his passion for Yiddish music from his childhood growing up in a home filled with these melodies. Zalmen’s parents Chana and Yosl Mlotek collected these gems for their Forverts newspaper column Pearls of Yiddish Poetry which were later published in a series of 6 song books.
