The Drama Desk Award-winning National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene is the longest-consecutively producing Yiddish theatre company in the world (109 years and counting) and the longest-consecutively producing performing arts institution in the US.
The company presents plays, concerts, literary events, and workshops in English and Yiddish, with English and Russian supertitles accompanying all performances. NYTF’s events reach over 100,000 individuals, growing annually, and its educational outreach initiatives bring the performing arts to over an additional 18,000 individuals. NYTF strives to bring diverse communities through multicultural programming and partnership with various organizations and schools.
We are thrilled that Barry Manilow and Bruce Sussman’s brilliant musical HARMONY will make the move from our sold out, award winning run at Edmond J.Safra Hall, our home at the Museum of Jewish Heritage, to Broadway this fall. The story of the Comedian Harmonists is an important one to tell and we salute Barry, Bruce, Director/Choreographer Warren Carlyle and the entire HARMONY company for joining forces with us to premiere this powerful show with NYTF.

The National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene stands in solidarity mit undzere brider un shvester in Eretz Yisroel.
We condemn this brutal attack against Jewish men, women and children as they woke up to celebrate Shabbas and the end of our holiest days. Fifty years and one day after the Yom Kippur War and only 80 years after the Shoah we cannot understate the seriousness of this attack on Jews.
An attack on one Jew is an attack on all.
